Sounds like classic BPV failure. Replace ASAP b/c if the diaphram
breaks up and ends up in the turbo..... ;-(
If you need something QUICK, go to the dealer and request an
Audi TT 225 HP bypass valve (P/N 06A 145 710N). It'll last longer
and function well until you decide on what you want to do for a BPV
upgrade. If you are running stock boost (and I've been told, even a
chip upgrade) it may be all you need (1/4 the price of a Bailey of
Forge for example). At the moment, I'm going this route. I do have
a spare one, JUST IN CASE, however.
