Hmmm... seems a couple us here may have stumbled onto an idea for next
winter...

As some of you know Rich A., Vincent, Thompson, and I (and 2 locals) drove
to Lake Champlain Sunday to run in the SCCV ice event, seeing as Steamboat
or ScottyFest was simply too far for us mortals (non-Pizzo's). It ended up
being waaaaaaaay over crowded (due to the local newspaper covering the
previous week's event for their cover story).

The lake's f'n HUGE as you'll see, so we made our own f'n course away from
the crowd (sad that I brought my own cones, er, and stopwatch), and f'd
around for 4 hours on the ice, 2-3 feet of snow. Funfunfun I tell ya STUPID
fun. We carved our own figure 8-ish course out, set up a pit area, and
timed e/o running 3 laps hot starting after a warm up lap. SILLINESS I tell
you.

Thanks to Super T., preliminary photo album link is

. I did not have to join to view it but you may(?). Thompson's f'n batteries
croaked so we only got mostly Rich's black '92 running, but video will
follow once he gets it up on a site... it's much better than the pics!

A few notes... yes, the airplane in one pic landed, took off, buzzed our f'n
roofs with a wing in a full bank turn... yes, that limo ran the course, full
studs, and is also seen towing 2 wrecks left abandoned by the locals on the
track... yes, that Yugo was f'n FAST.

Hope you enjoy... this was such totallyabsurd and EASY fun, that we all
couldn't help but think NE Winter //SFest '05. We're looking into it, too
fuuuuuuuuun not to...

-Paul, Vincent, Rich, and Thompson (Idiots that may look into an '05 event)
