when i got the email, i was immediately suspicious because:
1. it asked me to open the attachment.
2. why bother protecting the attachment with a password if you're going
to send the password in the same email?
3. why would an admin send me an attachment?
4. the english isn't that good.
you should always be suspicious of email messages that aren't completely
text. if they ask you to look at an attachment or click a link, check
carefully.
if you're not sure whether it's ok or not, leave the email for later,
and wait for the list discussion.
