I wouldn't just get the seats if I got the whole car- I'd also
take the ignition system and wiring harness, the ECU, the cylinder
head, the rear swaybar, the front swaybar, the strut assemblies,
the instrument cluster and the sunroof assembly.

That's scarey to part out a perectly good running car for parts, esp.
when it's as rare as an S4. Need seats? I bought, then sold a wrecked 92
with ECRU seats to a friend, let me know if you are interested in them.
I also sold a 95.5 S6 Avant to VW parts in New York with black seats.
Both sets of seats were very nice condition and everything worked well.
Email me for 92 ecru and i'll give you contact info. Otherwise ask for
Eric at VW PARTS and ask him about the black S6 seats...
