Yeah, and I hate to say it, but I bought some of this crap on eBay. The metal deposition on mine was so thick that my parking lights looked very dim - like candlelight. Signals seemed to not be as bad. DO NOT buy these silver coated bulbs. Go amber 1157's, even though they make the new clears look like an egg over easy. At least they look right when they are on - and what's the light for anyway?

OTOH, I recently saw a Philips advert that showed an amber bulb with a very conservative external metallic flash, which hopefully combines the best of both worlds...

Anyone seen this?
