[s-cars] Alignment, motor mounts, tires, etc.

Listers,

A few questions here:

1. As it stands my S wants to veer to the left while driving. Obviously
it's more pronounced at speed. I know an alignment job will fix this,
but before I get this done I have another concern to discuss.
Occasionally while driving in town the car will want to veer slightly in
the other direction. I fix this by giving the steering wheel a quick
jerk to the left. Then it's business as usual - slightly veering to the
left again.

My questions: What could be causing this? If I go in for an alignment
(and tires, which it's ready for) are there any upgrades you would
suggest while they're in there (you can be liberal in your suggestions
here)? I'm not afraid of the slippery slope just yet.

2. The motor mounts - I had it on the lift a few weeks ago and noticed
the motor mounts are looking worn, cracked, and ready for replacement.
Currently I don't feel any vibrations or behavior related to rotten
motor mounts.

My questions: Should I just wait until they're wasted and I notice the
shuddering engine upon take off? Are there any after market upgrades
for motor mounts that are worthwhile or make a noticeable difference
(not sure what I would notice)?

3. I need new kicks. I only have one set of original 93 S4 wheels. I
travel to the snow quite a bit and want something aggressive keeping in
mind I have a 50 mile daily commute.

My questions: Anybody have suggestions for reasonably priced aggressive
tires that can be used year round without being wasteful? I like
Blizzaks, but currently only have one set of wheels and wouldn't want to
waste those driving during the dry months.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin - Strapped with crampons and preparing to excavate my wallet from
the backyard.
93 S4
