I would tend to agree that this is the most likely failure. 

If you have ever examined your ignition coil wiring ... you will most likely 
find that the conduit is very likely to be cracked.

As far as the bonding wire failure is concerned ... if it held up for 10 
years in a harsh environment such as an AAN - I find it difficult to blame on the 
bonding process.
