Folks,
I feel compelled to share the news with my favourite group of people. I 
have just ordered a new turbo quattro: a 2004 Allroad. Have jumped in 
the last batch of 10. Should go into production Monday, with the 
expected delivery in late June.

According to AoA the short production run of the 2005 Allroads will 
cease on the week of 17th May, after which the Allroad will be no more.
To answer the obvious question as to why didn't I wait a couple of weeks 
and get the 2005 Allroad is simple. All 2005 2.7 biturbos will come in 
the so-called "S-line" trim: a mild power increase AND with automatic 
transmissions only. So obviously I had to jump on the leaving train. 
After the cut-out allocation date for 2004 m.y. on 23rd March there will 
be no biturbo quattros with 6-s speed stick shifts.

OK, vodka-Martini time...
