I had a ticket once with an error on it. I looked into it, and found that
until the ticket is entered into evidence, it can be changed. So if you
point out the fact that the ticket is in error, they'll change it.

Consult an attorney who knows about this stuff.

By the way, I was young and naïve, it was my first ticket and I decided to
pay it rather than schlep 6 hours back to that little hamlet where I got the
ticket. Not long afterwards I got tagged with a second ticket, and for 18
months I was *very* careful. (I would have lost my license with the third
ticket...)

Now I have electronic countermeasures :)
