Same deal I couldn't use my spring rate tester, the spring binds between
the sided of it, I guess pulling the spring tester apart and putting it
on a mill would work or on a press, but anyway the interest for me is
lost, I have small strait rate spring on my car.

I guess my point is that as you compress the spring you will have to
reduce the number of active coils, so in a way your numbers where right
to start, and like you said it should just get hmmm, harder well I know
where your minds are at, how about bigger, nope same deal, stronger...
aah well.

Basically, load the spring and measure how much deflection you get.
Divide
load/deflection. But for one of these springs, I don't have anything big
enough to get a deflection. So the calculator was second choice.

Would love to see your numbers.

I'm preparing to measure and document the Stock, Eibach, OEM/'92/Euro
Sport
springs in the near future as part of my ($$) "not too soft, not too
firm,
just right" quest.  Right now I'm too firm.
