Bonjour,
Just to let you know the Hap Rear Sway Bar has been installed on my car this
afternoon. What can I tell you other than the car behavior is completely
changed. My Avant now turns flat. Period ! ! !
Here is a full story:
I exchanged a few emails with Hap about that 26 mm Rear Sway Bar. I quickly
took the decision to get one following Hap's advices. A big box was
delivered a few days later. Packaging was very well made, very
professionnal. I was alredy drooling about this big Red Bar. Today, I went
to my usual garage. The car was lifted, rear wheels were removed. The stock
rear sway (17 mm) either. The new one was bolt on to the chassis. Then a
piece of metal on each side to link the bar to the chassis. I selected the
softer position (3 possible positions) and Voila ! ! !
It took less than one hour to have the job done. I noticed right away the
car was slightly higher than before. Start the engine. 1st gear. Immedialty
I noticed the car was harder. 1st curve. Big big difference. I will even say
huge difference. Went to a curvy uphill road. drove faster than before. Much
more efficient chassis. Very neutral. No oversteer. Pretty amazing. What an
improvement on my Eibach/ Bilstein Chassis.
Since I have an Avant, it is straight bolt on. But I believe there is a kit
for the Sedan.
A big thank you to Master Hap for this Rear Sway Bar. It will be very
usefull for our track event at Le Mans this coming Sunday.
Cheers,
Frédéric.
