[s-cars] Rods and high HP: Oil Issue??

Having seen that happen on a friend's car too, I'd too say the same thing,
or maybe not a long enough break-in period?
Anyway, when the rod's limits is reached, they simply bend and break with
no damage to the bearings, saw that happen a few times too, hopefully not
on cars that I had tuned :-)
