I'd say no, a few friends/customers of mine have been running 400 crank
HP 
for quite a while now and they don't seem to have any problems so far.

Sorry I mis-answered my own question and really disagreed with myself =O

But what I was trying to agree that IME a properly tuned I-5 should be
able to handle 400hp...
And now back to our regularly scheduled folks that know what they're
talking bout.
