[s-cars] Thermostat replacement tips ?

Coolant will drain much when the thermostat is removed. The o-ring will be
very stuck and you need to use something such as a dental pick to go around
it to loosen it's grip. Once you have the o-ring removed the t-stat can be
removed with thumb and forefinger. IMPORTANT! When the new t-stat is
inserted be sure the arrow or up mark is so located. When was the
antifreeze/cooling system flushed/replaced? Perhaps you might consider doing
so now? Use the Blue OEM from the stealer. $15 gallon. Only need one. It
could be argued that this is a good time to switch to pink G12. I have found
the blue to be very clean after long use and therefore surmise that it's
good enough to go back in as replacement. Remove the intake hose to make
access easy.
