[s-cars] Heats too hot.....no too cold

I would suspect the temperature flap rather than the controller. Check
if Channel 01 gives you a code which looks like 08.5. If it's the case,
it's either the servo-motor (big trouble to get there) or the linkage,
accessible from one side of the heater box, from the inside of the car,
but I don't remember which side.
So, first step, pull the codes on Channel 1 and try to guess if there is
a 08.5 or a 08.something in the code sequence.
The Air Flow Flap shouldn't affect the temperature. Its only effect is
to lower the air flow when you're driving at high speed. You can fix it
easily as the servo motor is on the driver side of the heater box, under
the wipers tray, the black box above the rubber boot. If you want to
take care of the Air Flow Flap, let me know, I will find the post where
I described how to rebuild these servo motor.
Vincent.

Objet : [s-cars] Heats too hot.....no too cold
My climate control is now being controlled by my power
windows. The heat can not be run on Auto as it is
always super hot. I turn it down to 63 and fan speed
down once car warms up inside. Still lots of hot air
comes out. If I drop temp display down to "LO" then it
will blow cold outside air. So to regulate heat in car
I alternate between LO and 63 degrees and/or crack a
window to cool off inside of car.
Since my display has a couple digits missing, I cannot
pull the codes. Last time codes were pulled, via Bob
R.(engineer extraordinaire) I had a fault code 01274 -
Air Flow flap positioning motor (V71)41-00 - blocked
or no voltage. Heat seemed to be working fine then.
Any clues before I think I need to spend the long
dollar on a used controller?
Thanks
