[s-cars] Ticking valve

I've been on vacation or I would have responded to your posting sooner.  My
best advice is find out what's causing the ticking - when I dug into mine
expecting to just replace the lifters I found one valve keeper missing and
the remaining one split longitudinally on an intake valve.  Very scary.  So
don't treat the symptom, treat the root cause.

Anyone know of a quick fix for a ticking valve?  I've heard that adding
a little ATF to the engine oil works.
