Greg,

Get a Thule roof rack system, A system consist of a foot pack (4
adapters that clamp to your roof) two bars that each go between 2 bars,
and an actual rack that attachs to the 2 bars. I have included a pic of
one of our cars with our rack on it.

We have the 599xt big mouth bike rack which worked great for our
mountain bikes, here is a link to the 599xt.

The Thule system won't be the cheapest way to go, but it will protect
your car's finish and hold your bikes securely. Decide what rack you
want and check ebay..racks show up quite often on the used market.
