Dave,
it is held in place by two springs. Pull it out gently, and carefully 
memorise the catch points for the springs. After that *PUT ON YOUR 
GOGGLES* and release the springs one by one with a curved dental pick, 
or a flat screwdriver.

It will be an enormous pain in the butt to put it back in. So that you 
know beforehand...
