[s-cars] Kinda mbarrassing question

How to drive a stick shift?  No... It is too embarrassing.  Another 
one:  what is correct/good place for  a jack stands  in S4 '93?  :-)   I 
think I use not right place - stripped some undercoating.  What are 
those 2 U-shaped brackets underneath the car?   And what is a proper 
place for a hydrolic jack if I need to put the car on a jack stand?   I 
could not find this information in the Bentley CD.
