[s-cars] HSRSB, constructive critisism

So it works well, it may even be the right size for my set up. It would
be cool to have a tubular steel one with aluminum arms on it if someone
wanted a project.
There are also plenty of manufacturers of custom sway bars out there. I
have seen some advertise that there average cost is $175, probably not
with heim's and custom mounting bits.
I have three real gripes about it, then some ancillary ones.
1) the price, if I had time when I needed it I would have made one
myself, but I didn't so I didn't so I will quite complaining.
2) The heim joints are all right hand thread, this makes it difficult to
adjust the standoffs. If made with right and left hand threaded heims
you could adjust them without having to take the heim's off, you could
also get infinite adjustment instead of every 180 deg X pitch.
3) for my set up and others the length of the standoffs is too short,
you have to adjust the heim's all the way out so that you don't rip up
the right cv joint boot. I ended up making new ones out of cro-mo, that
where 1" longer.
It is also a must to reinforce the stock mounting plates to the
suspension arm. It is nice to see this is now an option.
I also don't like the amount of cantilever that the spacers that come
with the kit has, again I made my own with co-mo tubing that are about
1/8 in thick as apposed to the 1/4"-1/2" ones that come with the kit.
If I did it I would like to see everything in double shear but that is
just me.

I've already asked Hap, but he isn't letting any secrets go, not even
the
type of material!

Where does the HSRSB come from? Is it from another model car or is it
custom made?
