My guess is that the nylon lock nuts will not take this heat.  I would 
suggest using jet nuts instead.  They are a prevailing torque nut that 
has no plastic insert.  I use them on exhaust headers and have never had 
a problem with them coming loose.  I get them at a specialty fastener 
shop here in Denver.  They are used on aircraft applications.
