[s-cars] anyone close enough to Downers Grove Ill to take a look at a car for sale ?

Hi guys,

hate to be a pest but my buddy is still looking for a good S-car and
something came up on Yahoo that he likes. Course it's only like 1200 miles
away !  This is at least the third time I've heard him threaten to buy
something sight unseen. The car is in Downers Grove Ill which I think is
just south of Chi-town.  I think I even remember the owner being on the list
way back when, but it's a pretty common name. Mike Johnson. Ring a bell
anyone ?

So, if anyone is close to Downers Grove and would like to do "me" (yes, I'd
like this guy to find something or I'll be forced to sell him one of my
cars!) a favor and could drive by and take a look, it would be appreciated.
The owner sounds like he doesn't mind showing it... Email me for contact
info...

One "interesting" tid bit during this ordeal is my buddy did contact a local
Audi shop near the car and asked if they would do an inspection and they
WILL !  It's like $180 but thats not the point.  Every other dealer I've
ever asked have always refused since they claim they can be help liable if
they "miss" something.  I'm not sure what they do for this $180 but if
someone said that the car was nice cosmetically etc, I think he'd go the
next step to get it to the dealer.

If not, no biggie...
