I just purchased a Makita 6933FDWDE. Amazingly powerful and truly
lightweight. http://www.makita.com/cordless_item_view.asp?id=728

Haven't used it on the car, but the torque is there to do so.

FYI - Makita (and maybe others) have just moved into production on a newer
rare earth motor technology. You will find many previous generation impact
drivers on sale across the web with ridiculous discounts: was $900, now
$250. Avoid these. The new ones claim 5X lifetime on inner workings.
