Mike,
when I bought my present house back in 2001 I immediately started
looking for a good, expensive, "once in a lifetime" cordless set to do
the home-owner's chores with. I was choosing between precisely the same
triumvirate of brands: Makita, Bosch and Milwaukee.

Milwaukee eventually won on the grounds of its ability to add an impact
wrench to the kit. The fact that Milwaukee got bought out by AEG scored
yet another point in the eyes of this indoctrinated in the European ways
DIY-er.
