[s-cars] Pseudo Warped Rotor?

Just put on a new set of front rotors to replace the severely worn set that
was also slightly "warped" on the front passenger side. A new set of rotors
(and pads) later the "warp" feels exactly the same.
The car feels fine under braking around town. At highway speeds there is the
classic thumping sound and very slight kick back through the pedal. The
problem gets worse with heat. This is the exact feel I had with the old
rotors and appeared with the new set at mile 1.
I'm running the Bira system 1 setup (fixed Boxster calipers + A8 rotors).
I'm not inclined to believe that my new rotors are identically warped to my
old set right out of the box (the old rotors were OEM A8, the new are 2
piece ECS replacements). I'm going to yank the rotor and make sure the hub
is clean. Any other suggestions? Bearings?
Thanks.
Dwayne
