OK, quick note on the pad change. Thanks to the write up from Peter, the
job went smoothly. Two issues were that I needed a 17 mm thin to hold the
other side of the guide pin nut rather than the 15 mm suggested, and the
wear indicator connection that came on the new pads did not match the
connector on the S6. This required pushing the pins out of the S6 connector
(w one broken wire) and taping the S6 wires together.
I was rushed or I would have attempted to connect the pads to the car in
some way. This is all a stop gap solution however, as I am planning on
installing a BIRA System 3 as soon as the parts arrive. I would have waited
on the pads, but I have a track session coming up at BIR in a couple of
days.
