Hi All:
You MAY recall my previous plea for help.
I did some additional testing with VAG and came up with a fault code and one
thing (O2S Adaptation) WAY out of spec. I'd like to run 'em past you and
hopefully you can help point me in the proper direction - or at least
sequence of attack.
Fault Code 00561 - Mixture Adaptation
15-00 Adaptation Limit (Add) Not Reached
Display Group 00:
Field Specified Values Actual
1 184-215 211
2 20-26 025
3 77-83 079
4 121-135 128
5 70-125 096
6 123-137 134
7 41-61 047
8 123-133 128
9 100-141 048************
10 35-37 036
********Bentley says to conduct road test if value too low. I took this
reading last week after a 30 mile drive and did the same yesterday with the
same result.
What kind of road test is Bentley referring to?
Bentley gives 4 probable causes of a value less than 100:
1. Fuel system pressure too high - I don't have the tools for this
2. G39 (O2 sensor) - display value fluctuated nicely within spec of
0.96 - 1.04. Can I assume O2 sensor is OK?
3. G7 (MAF) - I don't have tools for this
4. Air leak between turbo and throttle body. I have a set of Samcos I
have not yet installed. Install 'em? Where else should I look for a leak?
Well, I hope this give you enough info to assist me and I GREATLY appreciate
any insights you may be able to offer.
Best Regards,
Mark
P.S. I am running an MTM 1+ from Anderson chip. All else is stock on the
motor.
