[s-cars] The great coolant debate...

Stick with what was original in your car... good old fashioned green stuff.
As long as it's properly flushed every 2 years, you'll never have a coolant
related failure due entirely to lousy coolant. G12 is good stuff, but as was
pointed out, is relatively unavailable 'on the road'. Dex Cool is JUNK.
Avoid the stuff. It's cooling capacity is lower than that of G12 and green
common coolant. Also, the anti-corrosive properties are less than stellar.
I've spoken to a good deal of people in the radiator business about this
subject and all of them agree dexcool is the worst out of all 3 options.
Most importantly, if you decide to switch coolants, flush flush flush!
Mixing of any of these three coolants will cause a nasty reaction that will
counter any anti-corrosive properties and perhaps even negate the
lubricating qualities therefore wearing out your water pump prematurely. a
50/50 mix of green coolant with a few glugs of watter wetter is my choice.
