by the way, the WS6 firebird is 4th generation, '93-'03.  SLA front suspension,
torque arm/panhard rear suspension.  5.7 liter V8 with 6-speed manual.

3rd gen is '83?-'92 with strut front suspension and torque arm/panhard rear
suspension.  5.0 liter V8 with 5-speed manual, or 5.7 liter V8 with automatic.
