I'll second (and third and fourth) other comments about brake calipers
seizing. I've had two rear ones seize on both S4's. Pull off each
caliper, use the piston retraction tool to make sure the piston retracts
and pulls out smoothly and easily without any binding over the entire
range of travel, watch the piston while someone pumps the brakes, then
push it back in with the tool (make sure it doesn't pop out, as well as
the opposite one if it's removed!). Clean and lubricate all guides.
Remove the rear hand brake cables and have someone pull the brake level
up and down, everything should be very smooth and effortless. A good
brake flush with a pressure bleeder and new fluid would be in order.
Check all brake hoses for bubbles and cracks.
