Morning fools (well that's what Mr. T would call you at least)-
Well, annual spring-douching (SD?) has revealed a disturbance to an
otherwise dry and clean engine bay the other day. I've got trace bits of
oil in various parts of the vicinity of the throttle body / dipstick. It's
minor, but appears to be 'spraying' a decent area in an oil 'film'. All the
way down to the after run pump rubber bushing mount (geeee, just the ticket
for rubber and plastic, goody), sorta on the TB switch, on some of the
harnessing and hosing under the IM (more good things to get eroded by the
oil YAY!).
Anyway, was thunking of the possible culprits and could only come up with
like oil shooting out dipstick(?), or something outlandish like that. BTW,
the PS "x" plug is dry, so I'm ruling PS fluid out (at least from there).
If it were my dipstick suspicion (the car not me), what does this mean?
Rather excessive blowby? Car's going to camping NEA for a week + for some
freshening while I'm @ Indy w/ Platt & Co. so I'm not overly concerned, but
am still hoping it's simple find. If it's not, what's the deeper prognosis?
Again, it's only a 'spraying' effect, not enough to 'pool' anywhere, ever.
Anyone got a BTDT for me? It's been awhile (6 minutes) since I've danced w/
the Audigods, figure I'm due.
TIA.
