[s-cars] On the hot seat

The driver's side seat heater in my S6 has a mind of its own -- often with
sweaty consequences.  Sometimes is just decides to heat the/my seat and to
keep it hot.  I pulled the fuse, but want to fix the problem before winter.
I suspect the problem lies somewhere in the control switch/dial, which is
stuck on 0 and requires an unusual amount of effort to rotate/turn on the
heat.  Has anyone out there had a similar experience (jokes are welcome)?
Or can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to fix this rather sticky
problem?  Thanks!
