stock suspension at 108,000 miles.
I just couldn't help but thinking that the way Audi shipped the car to the dealer must be the way it is supposed to be. so I left it stock for 5 years trying new shocks, new tires and alignments. Finally I had to try the springs.

I'm a little bit disappointed with Audi. I can understand that if we want 50 more horsepower or bigger wheels, that's a personal choice and can be fun to tinker....but to have to fix something as basic as the suspension.... well...you know... it is to say the least disappointing.

my friend with his 528i didn't have to do that. my friend with his M3 didn't have to do that. My Mom's Mazda 626 handles the road better than my stock Audi S6 did -- and that is not a joke... it really does.

  Bill

We knew you would change your mind. How many miles did you have on that stock suspension? My wife recently demanded new shocks, Bilstein HDs, on her 45,000 mile A6 4.2. I also added bigger sway bars front and rear and a new set of Falken Ziex 512s. Wow, does that car feel good.

Hap, with 2 dahkine modified Audis in Evahboost, Maguire
