<<<So tell me more about this WasteGate Frequency Valve. I'm assuming it is
a wastegate top controller like the 10vt? Where does one get it? What
signal is it using to control the wastegate?>>>
Gary-
Don't know much about it, other than it virtually clones the OE WGFV in
appearance... except that it's a burnt burgundy color instead of black, and
one of the inlet lines is oriented 90 degrees differently.
Ray suggested the stepper motor contained an adaptive feature. Or something
and stuff (insert Beavis / Butthead dialect). Either call Northern European
and ask them (www.northerneuropenanautomotive.com
<www.northerneuropenanautomotive.com> , where Ray brought it to me from), or
maybe someone here can share some better knowledge on the issue. Again, it
was $80 and from NEA. I figured anything cheap & easy is worth at least
trying (like Pizzo's sister no?).
Problem is we sinned and also did the Tbody NASCAR restrictor plate (OK,
it's more of a cheese wedge) removal simultaneously (OK one test flog
apart). So I don't really know which of the 2 made the real difference.
Someone else has asked me to reinstall the OE WGFV and see if it reverts
back to the way it felt. I'll try that and post if I get around to it (busy
with some sort of NE //SFest thing or something).
But I do know this after 2 weeks now of flogs... man is the power smooth.
It's never felt better. Great for any 1+'ed cars out there (I know, boring
in our current world of T3/T0whateverE54 trim trim trimmy trim (I only care
about *getting* 'trim' really). Ping seems to be gone (so far so good, not
super hot out here yet), launches are strong and fast, and passing power is
immense. Loving it.
Again, my car *may* feel like it benefits more from these affects due to
the LWFW, that was a major rev-diharretic... engine spins and spools fast
and free, and now smooth.
Then again what do I know really. Again, anyone local's welcome to try it
sometime and dispel my tainted Buttometer...
HTH, blahblahblah.
