[s-cars] Tranny rebuild?

Eurospec has a few CBL's 6 speeds that have modified center sections,
they weld the center section, then machine it to fit in the wider first.
Rebuild the trans and put in the wider first gear.

You won't be able to buy just the 1st gear & mainshaft for that price.
To put in the late (wide) gears requires changing the center section
of the transmission housing.  I was quoted over $3000 to rebuild my
original 5 speed, and that was using standard replacement gears and
not changing the trans center housing.

Labor to rebuild the gearbox (by someone who knows what they are doing)
along with R&R will run almost $1000 by itself.

If you can get a DSY for $1000, that's a steal.  Get it.
