Gents-
Sorry for the belt-tangent here, but all the serp. belt talk lately reminded
me to pose a Q for ya'll (homage to Bob Meyers on the "ya'll"):
My SPEC clutch is now *finally* broken in (only took ALL of 11k to get
there). That said, she grabs like the proverbial Pizzo Prom Date (PPD).
My question is regarding some quick and trace 'belt chirp' I get when really
engaging an upshift hard, not slamming the clutch, but a real 'good'
engagement. I get an ever so brief and slight 'chirp' once and a while
under these load-circumstances.
I *think* they replaced the belt when I bought it and had the Tbelt done
simultaneously, but that was 45k ago. Do I need a new belt? Anyone got a
good replacement write-up handy (c'mon now Fred M. you know you do!).
And if not the belt, what else? Or is this 'normal' to a degree? Someone
here assuredly has BTDT...
Again, it's hopefully no biggie, but if it's a sign of some impending doom
it'd be nice to know and all...
TIA.
-Paul
