If you're serious about this, you should test drive the '04 TL 6-speed
as well as the G35 6-speed. The G35 drives as well as a BMW 3 series,
IMHO. The Acura I have not driven- I don't like really high-powered
front-drive cars- too much torque steer.

Have you considered other options? Lexus IS300? Volvo S60R?

It sounds like you need a better mechanic- my Audi has not cost me all
that much in repairs, the last $2200 bill notwithstanding- fix
instrument
cluster, replace windshield, some other stuff (lots of little things).

Sorry... I meant that I wish that they had sold it back in 98 or 99 when
I wanted a 5 speed sedan....then I never would have bought the used S6
which has since cost me quite a bit in repairs.

But, I didn't know the TL was now being offered with a 6 speed.   that's
cool.   a bargain car really.
