Paul,

I have no idea if my experience relates here but!!!

My trunk has gotten stuck a few times like you described.
Short story is, my tumbler (lock, etc.) in the trunk evidently got
stuck. And by stuck I don't mean part way turned, but part in part out
like you were trying to open the trunk.

I sprayed some lube on the key, inserted it in the trunk lock and
pushed it in and out of the lock several times. After doing this I
could depress the button and open my trunk.


Like I said, don't know if it will help but that's all the advice I
have to give.
