Folks,
I may have shared this wonder product once before but since winter is
upon us I thought I'd mention it again.  The product was invented for
aircraft, invented by Boeing and is called "Boeshield T-9" and is
available here

at your FLBS (friendly local bike shop.)  It has a lot of applications
not the least of which MAY be unfreezing a gunked up trunk lock.
I had come upon it while trying to free up a chronically squeaky
passenger side door. It took about a week to penetrate whatever crud was
in there but now all my doors work almost too easy using this stuff.  No
squeaks.  Take some degreaser and get as much old door grease off as you
can first, then spray away.
Since it is a waterproof lubricant and eats way corrosion I also sprayed
the heck out of the ebrake mechanisms (and I did win the best ebrake
sfest award, which basically butofcourse consisted of nothing more than
"hey nice working  ebrake";)
Also keep them pisser filled!  RainX orange thankyouverymuch.
Sorry no other winter hints I know of.
