Yes I do Konstantin. At least I think I do as I have not had anybody drive
my car in reverse while I observed this phenomenon. The sound however from
inside the cabin is rotational and only while I am going in reverse and as
you indicated it occurs after the car has sat for a while. Suspension
settling? Cold weather causing gas in the struts to decrease in volume? Ja
niewiem.

I think that over the Thanks Giving holiday, we need to descend upon Igor's
house and drink vodka for a while, er I mean let the cars sit for a while,
and see what other noise(s) may emanate from our front ends (I'm not talking
about slurred words) while we all go full lock in reverse. What say you?
Oops, forgot to ask Igor. Igor?

Regards,

Mark

Subject: [s-cars] wheel rub mudflap. something loose in suspension?

Hi.
Front wheel on my S4 '93 (Eibach/Bilstein) rubs the mud flap when it
moves in reverse with wheels in turn after sitting still for a while.
If I switch to 1st and go through same trajectory it does not rub.
Go back - rubs. It seems stopping to rub after driving, but I need to
check it again to be sure. Visual inspection of control arms bushings
did not show something obviouse. Stabilizer's outer bushing are worn.
Could it cause 1'' of loosness (distance between the tire and mud
flap)? Or, maybe it is normal? Does anyone have same symptoms?

Thanks.
Konstantin.
