Steve:
I can assure you Stromung will stand by the product and replace your
downpipe free of charge.
I am certainly sorry to hear of this situation on your RS2 equipped S
car.
Scott T will want to examine your DP after you've made the swap and
determine failure modes.
The DP can be exchanged from the top side, in about 2 hours.
I'll call Stromung to alert Scott to prepare a DP for you tomorrow.
Regarding Stromung email, Scott is not a big time email user like those
of us on this list.
And if you try again by phone, around 10AM PST, he normally does answer
the phone live.
All the best
Jeff

My downpipe has failed pretty much catastrophically. It started when I
noticed this crack in the expansion bellows.

After I removed the bellows, I noticed that the wastegate exhaust tube
was loose. I figured I'd weld it back together myself, so I removed the
entire downpipe. Here's what I found.

This looks like either a welding or design issue. Every joint in that
transition area is cracked. Should I be chatting with you or with
Stromung about getting this replaced?
Thanks!
