[s-cars] Oil in Intake

I realize that oil often comes from the valve-cover hose into the
intake; however, I seem to have more than expected. First, background:

Patient: 1997 S6 with 72k miles. I purchased at about 61k miles and
installed the Lehmann Stage 1 software (at 60k, the PO had the
service: brand new t-belt, fuel filter, pump, etc. etc.). I never,
ever lost any oil (Mobil 1).

In July, I installed an RS2 turbo and manifold. I ran with the K24
software (limited to ~22 psi) and stock injectors, etc. while I waited
on new injectors, software, etc. In late Sept., I had put about 2200
miles on the car since the install and noticed that the oil level had
fallen somewhat. I Added 1/3 quart to get to the 3/4 mark on the
dipstick.

In Oct., I installed the final goodies and Mihnea and I are working on
the software. I am having an odd ignition problem (CO folks at the
dyno session can testify). I don't want to get bogged down on that
right now with this email (I have some things to test first).

In looking into this, I checked the oil again, and topped it off some
more. I checked the Samco leading to the throttle body and there is
oil in it. I decided to check the spark plugs (see my question
yesterday about torque) and every plug had a thin layer of (what
smells like) oil on the plug. Not much, but you can wipe a little tiny
bit off with your finger.

So, basically, since putting in the new turbo (even when running lower
boost) I have some oil in the intake. I've added a total of about 3/4
quart of oil over nearly 4 months and 2500 miles.

My question is: Is the new turbo leaking the oil into the intake? Is
the more efficient turbo causing more oil through the bypass (hose
from the valve cover)? I imagine this oil in the combustion is
certainly contributing to the ignition problem.

What is the recommended course of action. A catch can seems like a
band-aid, but maybe I'm wrong.
