[s-cars] fan clutch replacement

I think you can operate the engine without the fan, Mark, but I didn't look
at it with that in mind when I had it apart. You have to leave the pulley in
place as an idler for the belt and remove the clutch and fan, but FWIR the
pulley is on it's own bearing and mount so it should work. With a properly
working fan clutch the HP gain probably won't be that great. I don't think
my engine fan has ever engaged (never heard it anyway) - the electric fan
has seemed enough to do the cooling. With the big HP you are pulling from
your engine, though, you may need the extra cooling :o)

Fill me in Fred, or come on down and do it for me.. ;-)
I want to off that fan (which I doubt I will ever need) and pick up some HP
for my efforts.

Is it possible to operate the engine with out fan ?
