Same reason I started using antiseize.  Aluminum heads on an  air-cooled.  If 
you never blew out a spark plug, you would never know the  feeling.  All 
hardware bolted to an aluminum air cooled motor, got anti  seize after that one.  
Seems like 1970 was a long time ago.  Nickel  antiseize is cheap insurance.
 
On suspension pieces and other exposed hardware I use the standard  stuff.  I 
never get rusted bolts.

Actually,  John, I must confess to using a small amount of high-temp nickel
antiseize  on my plug threads and using a torque wrench (beam, not
shoot-and-click for  this job) to tighten them to 22 ft.lb. I've had good
results so far. Many  years ago I was introduced to the joys of aluminium
heads when a friend  brought over his air-cooled Beetle ("my mechanic won't
take out the plugs")  - man, were they seized in there. I've used antiseize
on aluminium heads  ever since.
