Hi all,
Ok, My Fiance has been driving the S6 for about two days while I
have her Saab fitted with new tires. Yesterday she calls and
asks if something is wrong with my brakes, they are making
noise. Never heard noise from besides an occasional squeal so I
had no idea what it could be. She drove it home from her work (
50 miles) and we jumped in it to get some groceries where I
immiediately knew somthing was seriously wrong.
The rotor has about a 1/4 strip on both the outer and inner edges
that are completely ground down, I mean no more shiny surface but
ground iron hamburger! Any ideas on what is going on with the
caliper? Could it be that the emergemcy brake stuck or
something?
Next question is where can I get a good rotor FAST and on the
cheap? I need to be able to drive this car soon.
Any advice if it is the caliper sticking? Is this a common
problem? Thanks for any help guys.
John
