Actually Krist, if what you want is more engine noise, I think the answer
can be pretty simple ~ use a 3 & 1/2" (3.5) round or oval, your choice, tube
for every thing from the down pipe back. You don't say where your "I don't
need cats" country is located, so it's hard to know what options you may
have available for mufflers &/or resonators,..... and if they come in inches
or mm's.
The usual options for most of the list, which seems to me to be
predominantly located in the US, have been either Borla or Magnaflow (US
brands, I think) units for those who haven't just gone with the simple full
Stromrung (downpipes & muffler) systems.
Eliminating the "resonator" (the little extra mufflers that sit between the
cats and the large rear most "muffler") IME seemed to affect "resonance"
(that annoying "drone") one gets at certain more or less fixed rpm ranges
(ie. @ 3,000 IME)
I find the resonance "drone" particularly annoying, and personally would
rather keep the resonators to avoid a 3,000 (a pretty normal highway
cruising rpm range) drone.
Last, the thing to keep in mind, is if the Mounties can hear you coming
....., they're likely to be looking for something when you go by.
