Hey Russ:
Since my "flurry" of activity last week or whenever that was, I have not dug
any further. I was getting some leaking at the turbo inlet which I
could/did not fully cure so I have no idea what else may be leaking if
anything. Vacation the week after thanksgiving so perhaps then...
Regards,
Mark

Subject: Pressure Testing The Intake
Mark and Co.
When you pressurized your intake at the MAF boot did you get any leakage
through the waste gate freq. valve?
When I pressurized at the MAF boot (the only hose I plugged was the
valve cover hose) I get a lot of leakage through the WG FV. I took the
intake boot off and inspected the WG FV and it looks O.K. It looks like
it is installed correctly and the way it is plumbed it should normally
pass the boost pressure to the WG???
It must be leaking through the WG itself - not sure if this is correct?
BTW- all other connections looked good - no leakage through the ISV.
With the turbo intake boot off I inspected the turbo vanes. Saw a little
erosion on the outside edges at the corners - may explain the whistle.
Probably caused by the PO running a K&N filter that I immediately threw
in the trash as soon as I got the car home.
