I agree with both Craig and Dennis about Dorf MoCo stealing VAG styling
(I think Dennis or somebody said they did hire a former VAG stylist).
Even before that,  I posted a few years ago when the current F150
pick-up grill was almost identical to our grills (minus the rings,
obviously).  The new 500 and the Freestyle continue with the pseudo VAG
grill theme but it IS closer to the Passat than say an Audi (especially
now with the new Audi Bugs Bunny/Super Beaver A6 grill).

The sad thing is Dorf Motors is going to offer 4WD in these cars and are
touting it like nobody has ever done this before.

The really really sad thing is I test drove a FWD CVT 500 just to see if
they were coming close to anything good.  Hated the CVT.  When you punch
the throttle, its like spinning a FWD on wet pavement  when eventually
the revs come down as you finally get some traction.  The engine noise
intrudes into the cabin very severely under these conditions.

I would much rather buy a 5 or 6 year old Audi than a Dorf 500.
