Hi all, well its been a while since I talked about this but I have a 91 90  
coupe quattro that I'm having my s4 engine swapped into as well as 6 speed,  
brakes and all the goodies I can fit. I bought the car in Canada and am having a 
 shop over there do the work. When its finished I will import it and need 
some  advise. I called Audi to have them send a letter of compliance to me to 
show at  customs but they said the car has an "active restraint system" and the 
US  requires a "Passive restraint system" so they would not give me a letter 
and  said I would have to go through a registered importer. What is the  
difference? Is this just the airbag option? I thought the Canadian coupe and  the US 
coupe were the same other than the speedo. Any advise or experience  very much 
appreciated.
