I run 17x9 with 35mm offset for my summer wheels - work perfect with my ECS Stage 3 brakes (323 and 993TT).  I don't see why the 18x8.5 with 35mm offset won't work for you, but the wheel style/design can still cause fitment issues that would require use of a spacer.  Chances are you will be OK.

just trying to confirm that a 18" x 8.5" rim, with a 35mm offset,
will work on a UrS. tire size will be 225/40-18 and should be fine,
if the 35mm offset is right. i received a lot of info on rims/tires,
but no one seemed to confirm or deny what offsets would work. thanks.
